A Raggy Waltz We Dance

It's a Raggy Waltz We Dance is the title of my second art exhibit at Pandemonium Cafe. The owner of the cafe, the lovely Leisa, kindly offered me a second exhibit immediately following the first one I had there. Leisa rocks! Pandemonium Cafe rocks! My very good friend who helped me set up my paintings yesterday rocks! YOU! Oh yes YOU reading this here little blog rock! Everything is rockin' and I'm getting motion sickness so I better go have a lie down...

Here's a photo of one of the 12 paintings currently exhibited called "A helmet would only mess up my hair"

The photo was taken just prior to heading over to Pandos & scooter boy decided to rudely park himself in front of my head for the shot. Cheeky little monkey! I guess he figured there wasn't room enough for two big heads in the photo...

Pandemonium Cafe - 215 Given Terrace, Paddington, Brisbane
It's a Raggy Waltz We Dance exhibit 19th April until 14th June

I now end this shameless self-promotional post with something of far greater importance.

Bloggers Unite is an initiative designed to harness the power of the blogosphere to make the world a better place. By challenging bloggers to blog about a particular social cause on a single day, a single voice can be joined with thousands of others to help make a real positive difference. This year marks the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights adopted by the United Nations. Bloggers Unite for Human Rights challenges bloggers everywhere to help elevate human rights by drawing attention to the challenges and successes of human rights issues on May 15.

For further information, badge links, and suggested topics to write about on the day click here. I'll be blogging a Human Rights related post on the day as it's an issue that is important to me. I believe it's an issue most other bloggers feel strongly about also, so I'm hoping many of you fine folk will be participating on the day. Even if it's simply to display a Bloggers Unite badge on your blog to help raise awareness. So, get on board bloggers! We CAN make a difference!

hey harriet:) the ever talented harriet:) i like the bloggers unite part on human rights, i'll borrow your pic on this and post it and blog about Nurin Alert on that day. Nurin Alert was formed akin to Amber Alert in the US. it's about a girl, Nurin (she's on my sidebar) whom was abducted, brutally abused and murdered and body stuffed in a bag. He made big headlines here and sadly after that her murderers were never found. since then, we've had another 2 child missing. i was blogging actively on this issue for months on another blog, also am a member of Nurin Alert committee. tks for the alert, we certainly should give respect on such issue on this day.

and have a fantastic sunday, big hug to you :)

M.Kate -
I'm glad that 'Bloggers Unite' has inspired you to share the story about Nurin Alert on the day. A tragic story, but I'm looking forward to reading your post. As I do with all of your posts!

You are super :)
Yay! A second art exhibit! You do rock. I love the painting that is sadly covering up your face, the title expecially...I can sooooo relate to that title.
