Here's my Shadow Shot Sunday #100

The above isn't my 'shadow shot' but a lead into this alternative view I spotted of the buildings...

Still not exactly a 'shadow shot' but the reflection of St John's Cathedral and another building as captured in the highrise block across the road that caught my eye. I like the wonky reflection of the taller building! Some nice city reflections found along Ann Street in Brisbane. And yes, I do occasionally leave my little island hideaway. More than occasionally actually, as I regularly commute into the big smoke for work.

And in celebration of this being the 100th SSS post I'm having a...

Shadow Shot Sunday Super Secret Giveaway!

The Super Secret giveaway prize will be revealed next week along with the name of the winner. The reason for the secrecy is because I haven't figured out what the prize will be yet. But rest assured, it will be a package of some nice little things! The winner will be drawn randomly from this weeks Mr Linky participant link list, so all SSS participants this week are automatically entered into the giveaway. The giveaway is a little token of my appreciation to you fine folk for playing along. Many thanks to everyone & good luck!

Happy Sunday!

I always enjoy the Shadow Gallery and appreciate all the time you put into making this such a successful weekly event. I really like both of YOUR photos this week ... the first provides and wonderful 'context' for the second ... and methinks James and his Weekend Reflections participants would really enjoy that last photo.
Hugs and blessings,

Congrats on your 100th!! Thanks for al your hard work so we get to have so much fun I love your reflection shot - especially your 'wonky' bit .... and then you said it was Ann Street - perfect!

Fabulous reflection!
Wow, one hundred weeks of super shadows. You've done so much for the photographic community, far flung over the planet. Many of us see our favorite hobby/pastime/passion quite differently, due to YOU. Thank you, dear creative Tracy. Your unflagging cheerfulness, humor and interest in the world inspires us all.

Hey, congrats on the big milestone! And thank you so much for all the hard work you put into this meme to make it fun and special.

Love your reflection shots - it's like a peek into an alternate universe. Whoever wins your giveaway is going to be very lucky!

The old vs. the new is a classic take. The new is made of steel and lots of glass. But skyscrapers today all are made of that. The church, on the other hand, has such beauty of the past, like the twin spires, the arches and stone finish will retain its architectural beauty always, and as such will not become anonymous - ever!

Very cool... I like that wonky effect also! Looks a little Dr. Seuss like :0)

Congrats on your 100th SSS post! That's amazing! I admire you for the work and love you have put into it. I think you should get a prize!

Missed without the SS. Seems part of my routine during Saturday mornings. TY for giving me the strength to get up early and chase my fresh shadow shots to share with your dearie friends.

Have a wonderful Sunday DownUnder...

XoXo always...

Your two worlds of life must be like refreshment - one contrasts with the other! Beautiful reflections! The effect is like buckling reality!
Happy 100th Shadow Shot Sunday. Thanks for hosting, I really love playing along and hunting for shadows all week. I have shied away from including “reflections”, but I love your shots and I might now pop in a reflection or two!

100 - wow - that makes Mr Fudge's 70 look a little puny, doesn't it? Congratulations Tracy on your enthusiasm every week - it shines through.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw your shots for this week - you will see what I mean when you take a look at my post. Spooky!
CONGRATS Tracy!! This has been quite an accomplishment!

Love your shadowy reflections. That wonky building is rather Picasso-ish looking. Cool find.

How sweet of you to do a celebratory giveaway. Whoever wins...whatever you decide...I bet someone will be very, very happy:)

Thanks for being the hostess with the mostess! xo Lisa

Oh yeah! I love a bit of Victorian architecture! How interesting those spires are in the different stone (?). Our cathedral is the same style and I'm pretty sure I saw a similar type of thing in Melbourne and Adelaide. I guess we're all roughly the same age give or take a couple of decades. It's so cool seeing bits of Brisy - must get up there again for a look see!

Thank you for including my unhappy cherub in the collages! ...and happy 100th SSS! XOXO's Have a terrific week on your island! :0)

I always enjoy your galleries - thanks so much for including my post in this one!

And a huge way to go on these 100 weeks! Without you, a lot of us wouldn't be looking for shadows - thanks for opening our eyes, and our imaginations!
What a contrast - the new and the old! That building looks awfully tall from here.. great picture taking perspectively!
Patti said…
Like my husband (Ralph the Airhead) said, I love the contrast of the classical architecture of the cathedral with the steel and glass skyscraper. Nice reflections and shadows captured!

You call the city the big smoke? Interesting term! Can't say I've ever heard it.

Happy Sunday to you, too, Tracy, and a great week ahead. Congrats on the 100th post.

Wow 100 sss's! That's great! I like the reflections this week-I think that is one of the main benefits of those big shiny city type buildings-their reflective qualities. Hope you are having a lovely weekend!

What a great idea. Whilst I am very much the novice (just point and shoot) photographer (and I cringe even using the word photographer because it sounds like I know what I'm doing!), I have entered my first attempt at capturing a shadow. I hope it stands up to the very talented people that come before me!

It's a great thing you have going here! Here's to another hundred!
I love your photos! Brisbane is gorgeous. My parents visited their friends in that apartment block and they looked out at that church from the pool deck I think. I saw their photos just a few weeks ago. It's such a small world!
