Shadow Shot Sunday #119

Gabba Gabba Hey! Shadow Shot Sunday!

Hi and welcome to SSS. If you’d like to join in, please do. How? Shoot a shadow, post it on your blog on Sunday (or close to Sunday), add your link to Mr Linky, and visit other players. First-time participants are required to click HERE for further info before submitting links. Thanks and I hope you enjoy the shadows!

Here's my Shadow Shot(s) Sunday #119

These were taken at Coochiemudlo Island. Or simply 'Coochie' as the locals refer to it. I'll probably be posting some more pics of cutie coochie during the week.

Have you noticed how bare this post is looking in comparison to other Sundays? How something vital is missing? Yes! The Shadow Gallery collages are missing this week. Due to being sick last week, unfortunately I didn't have the time to create the collages. All will be back to normal for next SSS. And a big thanks for all the lovely well wishes. They were so very appreciated. You guys are the best! Have I told you that lately? I don't believe I have. YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST! xox

Happy Sunday!

The feeling is MORE than mutual! YOU are the the best! You provide us with a wonderful place to post our addiction!
I tell what else is fun is the few family members who have hung out with me when I have my camera in hand and watching me stop to take shadow shots. It's neat to see how I/we influence how they begin to see things as they start to notice the shadows.
Glad to see you back in the saddle again!

Sylvia K said...

I have to repeat what Anne has written I do love the tree shadows, too! Gorgeous! I'm so glad you're feeling better! Take good care of yourself and enjoy a lovely weekend!

I love both of these; the pier shot is so perfectly composed, and the tree shadows are great.

Glad you're feeling better.

I say YOUR THE BEST!

The pier looks very inviting and I LOVE the tree on the sand. Very cool. I think Coochie is a funny name for an island.

Have you said how many islands are in your chain? If you have I've forgotten. Anyway, I'm glad you're getting around to visit them all.

Hey, I love your post below. I'm very excited to see your Ttvs of the nest. I think natures treasures are the best treasures of all. I think it will make a cool Ttv!

The second shot is like a painting! Glad you are well now.

Cool how the shadow angles differ for the left and right railings. I really like the tree shadow against the beach.

Greyscale Territory said...

Sharp and bold railing shadows! And the tree shadows are like monster sprigs of parsley! Fantastic, contrasting shots! And so glad you are feeling better and more sprightly!

Ralph said...

The pier traverses the earth, it seems, to infinity and beyond. The shadowy railing reinforces the horizontal plane wonderfully. The water almost looks like the sky, the shadowy tree seeming to reach up into the atmosphere. Excellent views as always, and we are very happy you are back!

Cassie said...

No, YOU are the best!! Hope you are all better now. Love your ShadowShots of Coochie.

I have to do this: Coochie, coochie, coooo!!

It sounds like you have recovered a little from your bout of 'flu...? Fingers crossed that is the case! My whole class has been dreadfully ill and I started getting sick on Wednesday much to my horror but I dosed up on vitamins and strepsils and went to bed and touch wood I am OK now. I'm quite relieved!

These are great shots - especially that last one with the tree branches! I've been popping in and looking at your island shots - they are so lovely Tracy! It makes me want to hop on a plane and explore!

Hope you're having a great Sunday your week ahead is good too! Sam. XOXO

P.S. So glad you liked the Dr Kennedy Jones piccies - they're cool, aren't they? :0)

So sorry to hear you have been unwell Tracy. Hope that is all in thepast now and you are blooming again.
Wish I could join you on that lovely island with its long shadowy jettu and the trees painting their portraits on the san.
Saw the treasures you found on the beach, I can jusr see you cupping that little nest in your hands and marvelling at the wonder of it.
I found a skeletal leaf yeserday while pruning roses and felt like I had been handed a gift from God.

Jo Williams Photography said...

Devive photo's Tracy, really like the second one. Love the colours, textures of the rock, sand and then the smoothness of the water, with the mix of strong and deciate shadows of the trees. Just gorgeous.

So glad you're back to normal(ha)...how did we get so busy anyway, I'm afraid it's the way of it in these times...at least we take the time to be with our friends over/down under to share a few moments pleasure in our chaotic lives.

That's what it's all stealing a moment of fresh air and fresh thoughts, all over in Tracy's world...THANKS girl for taking the time for us!!!

I like the pier best. I love blue skies and water ( so long as I remain dry) and enough sun to create shadows. I never intended looking for shadows every week but it's becoming a habit that I really enjoy. Thank you.

I'm always amazed how you manage to collect all those photos into a nice feature every week. I'm glad you took a break in order to mend. I hope you start to feel better right away!

I always like shadows from slatted structures like fences and louvers. It's a nice perspective shot, too. As well, the tree shadows look like they're reaching for refreshment from the water. Well done!

Cool shadows and good to know you are better. You know T...you dont have to do the gallery every week..everyone will understand. I dont know how you do it..collaging and visiting so many people. I'd rather bee at the Coochie place sipping kopi..that's coffee in local language and enjoying the breeze. BUT if you like it...then no problem I guess :O) Happy week ahead.....hugs/M
