Heres' my Shadow Shot Sunday #136


The shadowy bushland surrounding my house. This photo was taken earlier in the week during a brief and rare sunny period. It's been rain, rain & more rain here in most parts of Queensland for the longest time. We've had one very soggy summer so far! I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas (or are HAVING a lovely Christmas if you happen to be on the other side of the world and are visiting on your Christmas day). We here in Australia beat you to it! Christmas day is a thing of the past and we've moved onto Boxing Day already. I had plans to head into the city for the Boxing Day shop sales but with this icky weather I think I'll be staying home and painting some walls. And indulging in Rum Balls between brush strokes. My stash of Rum Balls are quite potent so I hope I don't fall off my ladder!

Heres' my Shadow Shot Sunday #135


A nice shadowy border running alongside the netted swimming enclosure on Karragarra Island. An empty swimming enclosure due to it being low tide at the time. I'm not sure about the popularity of netted swimming enclosures in other parts of the world, but they're a necessity for the Southern Moreton Bay Islands for safety reasons because sharks & other creepy crawlies frequent the waters.

As this will be the last SSS post before Christmas I'd like to wish everybody a Merry Christmas! And for those who don't celebrate Christmas I'd like to also wish you a lovely time over the silly season! For those who'll not be going away over the holiday season and are still keen on hunting and sharing shadows, you'll be pleased to know that Shadow Shot Sunday will continue along as normal with the next SSS falling on Boxing Day. Here's my Shadow Shot Sunday #133


Earlier in the week I took a bunch of shadows on the sand shots and couldn't decide which I liked best. So I've posted four of my faves. Summer commenced here mid-week and it's been a dreary wet miserable season so far! Hooray for the last days of spring being sunny so I could catch some shadows for this week!

Ok, sorry to my friends overseas for complaining about a little bit of rain when many of you have snow to contend with right now! Ugh! Keep warm my friends!
