Log Cabin Bee Hotels
A pile of hollow logs were
recently given to me by friends who thought I may be interested in turning them
into native bee hotels. And yes, they were right! Thanks to tree termites
having so neatly chewed through the insides of the logs they provided perfect natural
frames to create the bee hotels…
The first step was roughly
cutting some wood backs, nailing them in place, threading through some thick
wire for hanging and then interior decorating the bug abodes.
The log cabin models make a nice
addition to the range of bee hotels I’ve so far made…
