Shadow Shot Sunday #30

Shadow ghosts appear as a shadow of sorts. They look a bit like Ecto-mist but are dark grey to black in colour. In photographs, it's easy to confuse them with natural shadows, so be careful with your analysis. They are usually extremely sneaky and evasive. When they are spotted it's usually out of the corner of your eye or as they are darting through a wall. They can also be spotted as a reflection in shiny objects and mirrors – (info sourced from the Ghoststudy website) I’m not really into all that spooky stuff but they do have a very interesting Paranormal Gallery to view if you feel so inclined.

The three Shadow Gallery collages this week feature one photo from each participant from last Sunday. If you’d like to participate in SSS, it's easy peasy! Shoot a shadow, post it on your blog on Sunday (or close to Sunday), then add your link to Mr Linky at the bottom of this post, and visit other players. Have fun!

Here's my Shadow Shot Sunday #30

This shot was taken in the courtyard of a cute café that I can’t for the life of me remember the name of now. I’ve carefully analysed the above photo for any paranormal activity and I don’t observe any to be present. However, I don’t observe the yummy mango smoothie I ordered to be present either. A possible explanation could be that I hadn’t yet ordered my mango smoothie before taking the photo. Or did I? Did I already order the smoothie and it had been placed in front of me before I snapped the shot and is now strangely not appearing in the image? Sigh. More details that I can’t for the life of me remember now. This can be a consequence of analysing every little aspect of ones life. It may lead to unnecessary confusion.

Happy Sunday!

'Mango anxiety'...happens to me all the time...or maybe we just haven't a clue anymore...HA...cool shadow anyway, as we all sit and wait for the smoothie to arrive...

Love your courtyard shadows. And the thought of a mango smoothie really has me going. Sounds heavenly.

The lowdown - unfortunately your smoothie was abducted by aliens (paranormal for sure, you must have had some inkling of it to mention that)!

It all occurred when you were mesmerized by the dancing foliage shadows. By the way, it was a berry smoothie.

Great shots!
And by the way, I looked up into the sky late yesterday afternoon and much to my surprise, I thought I saw a UFO. Upon closer inspection with a pair of high powered binoculars I realized it was just a Mango Smoothie flying by. Perhaps it was yours?
Never had a mango smoothie..sounds good..Did my shots early, we had quite the ice storm and just got the computer back..afraid we may lose it again..Happy Shadow Shot Sunday..
Your shadows are lovely..very soft and peaceful..

Lovely network of shadows and the strong coloured tiles in the background really make an artistic contrast! In fact, the whole would make a wonderful abstract artwork to hang in a kitchen!

The gallery looks great! I love how you compile them like that. Very impressive photos.

Your shadow shot photo is great. I especially like that the tile installation guy didn't mind/care that he placed two black tiles side by side rather than sticking to the norm of same colors not touching. Then there is the lovely gray border on the top and bottom framing up the floral shadows so nicely. The off set sugar and spice is the crowning touch. A great shadow shot. I could look at it for a long, long time.

Am I the only one who can see the mango smoothie? Spooky!

Hey T!! Missed last week, but back on board :0) i see you still take your camera wherever you go, even out for the mango smoothie or not mango smoothie!! Very delicate shadows me thinks and i am sitting here looking at those tiles (I too think the 2 dark ones together to break the pattern are good, bit of rulebreaking doesn't go astray!) and looking at my kitchen tiles and looking back again and wishing that they were on my kitchen wall, with or without the smoothie in front, lol!! As i sit here typing Christopher is downstairs sorting through 3 big boxes of mangos that he picked with his dad the other day, getting the ripest ones out that are ready to eat!! Shame you're not closer, you could have smoothies coming out your ears free of charge!! Have a great week, good luck with your Bristyle market, again i wish i was closer, it looks like an awesome lineup, will be popping over for another little look later. Ax

If High Desert Diva hadn't snatched the mango smoothie, first, I would have. Can't trust us California Hippies! Wonderful shadows, today.
Or maybe...a shadow ghost took your smoothie?! Did you think of that! As a matter of fact...I think I see his shadow there in the lower left purple tile...those thieving shadow ghosts...just can't trust them!!

Great shot! How I wouldn't love to be sitting there with you!!

LOL! Analyse away. That was a good one. ;-)

I like the contrast of colored tile next to the shadows.

Mango smoothie? I love mango.

Paz
I like to think that taking pictures helps me to keep track of when things happen Tracy....ha! (Hope your smoothy shows up soon)
Lovely shadow as always...almost a flirty shadow....
Enjoy your week!

great balance there, they look like great lines of colour, I dont think I've seen paranormal activity in my shots either, sometimes barely normal, but thats quite another thing!
Check on Last weeks entries 40 (OMG) thats outstanding, you must put in such effort to make this happen, thank you again for this wonderful blog event!

Hi Tracy!
great shadow shot this week - pretty patterning on the table.
I like all the snowy christmassy shots in your s.s gallery too! (the complete opposite to our sweaty christmassy shots!!)
I've been absent in my S.Ss lately - still enjoying the shadows though ...

Have I told you how much I love your meme? I can never remember everything either! I think it's common in this overloaded with info world we live in.
Thank you so much for this fun meme Tracy!I love watching the shadows during the week and then seeing what everyone else posts.
Your collages are excellent as always and the spooky shadow ghost info is quite interesting as well.

Beautiful contrast between the hard squares and the delicate shadows. Lovely composition. And the colors are unusual, to say the least. Sorry about the smoothie. Mangoes sure sound good to me; it's snowing outside!

I finally found you again! I love playing with light and shadow and have wanted to participate in this challenge for awhile.

Today's shadow is here.
The Mango Shake Mystery continues...
Anyway, a very DIVINE shot indeed!

I have the answer. The mango smoothie was indeed ordered AFTER the shot. But it was all just a terrible mistake. With this problem of before or after solved, please now rest easy. You never have to order another mango smoothie ever again.

It sounds like you need a detective to find that smoothie! Haha. The salt & pepper shakers are cute, and the colorful tile backdrop as well.

Aha!!! now we're talking in here. You're shadow shot is amazingly perfect!

Hmmm... Jan was right. If High Dessert Diva didn't grab the mango smoothie first, I would love to have one. Am drolling now.

Job well done, Lady & all ladies who joined the SSS... the better the merrier!

Enjoy!
