give us an E! E! E!

The BrisStyle Team are gearing up for their Ekka Etsy Extravaganza sale to coincide with Brisbane's annual Ekka (Royal Queensland Show). The sale will run for the duration of the Ekka (6th to 15th August) with many BrisStyle members offering various discounts in their Esty stores. Check in on the BrisStyle blog for a full list of participants and details of their individual offers. The super EEE sale begins tomorrow!

I will be having a 'purchase 2 prints and receive a 3rd print free' offer in my etsy shop. But wait, there's more! If you buy 4 prints or more you'll also receive a complimentary mini art canvas peace magnet.

The magnets are 5 x 7 cm sized mini stretched canvases, with vintage paper attached (the ones in the photo I used old piano rolls and film backing paper), and a crane painted in ink with the word 'peace' stamped on each one. All are given a coat of protective lacquer and have magnetic strips on the reverse. I actually started making these earlier in the year for a fundraising project but I haven't had the time to get the venture up and running yet. One day. So rather than continue having them stashed away in my cupboard for who knows how long I thought I would include them as part of my Ekka Etsy Extravaganza sale offer.

Clowns creep me out like you would not believe so I thought that quote was perfect!

Your mini crane canvases are lovely and so unique! So you can hang them on a wall or stick them on the fridge? That's clever! I'm heading over to your shop sale now!

I'm such a dunce! I visited your shop and didn't see any signs of a sale. Then read your post again and see it starts tomorrow. You even have it in bold! I must have been distracted by the evil clowns. I'll be back tomorrow :)

I never liked clowns either... they give me the creeps and aren't remotely funny, I think. Guess I have a clown complex...LOL! But I do LOVE a sale...very exciting! Best wishes for sales and fun, Tracy :o) ((HUGS))

Those little artworks are so cool! Will they be available for sale? It's funny that clowns have an excuse for drinking. Maybe I need to come up with one ;P
Now I'm curious to know all about your fundraising project and hope you do eventually get it started. I'm always keen to support a worthy cause. You have found a great use for old 620 film paper. Very cute canvases Harriet. Unlike most people I like clowns!

Those clowns used to scare me when I was a child. I knew they were waiting to bite off my arm when I put the ping pong balls into their mouths. Best of luck with the sale. I already have one of your lovely Peace magnets on our fridge which I treasure (the magnet, not the fridge).
Wow...what a deal! I guess procrastinating can sometimes be a good thing;) I've had my eye on some of your Ttvs for a while now...looks like it's time to move on them. Your magnets are really cool too!

I'm not even going to touch the clown thing...

I've found clowns a bit scary since reading Stephen King's book 'It' = I had to sit in a corner facing the door to read it!!! Good luck with the sale. We're heading over to Australia at the end of the month - but we'll be in Sydney, so won't be able to visit - if only we had 'met' two years ago, when we holidayed on the Gold Coast!!

I love those peace magnets of yours! I'm paranoid about taking my kids to the Ekka this year because of the swine flu, so the EEE sale sounds like the better option to me. Now I just have to convince the kids!

Sounds like its going to be a great sale... You'll do really well!

Also love the D. Coupland quote too... he's a local Vancouverite, and I have been lucky enough to meet him a couple of times... really nice and quirky.

Hello, I just wanted to leave a comment to say how much I've enjoyed reading your post today.

I love reading your blog - thank you very much for sharing your pictures and thoughts !
I'm going away for the weekend so I may post my shadow shot before I leave and then link up to Mr Linky when I get back. Happy weekend to you Harriet!
Hi Tracy,

I wonder if you know that a "bris" is the word for the religious ceremony and celebration when a baby Jewish infant boy is circumcised, I think it is seven days after birth. Sigh. So the BrisStyle etc. logos give me pause. Guess there aren't too many Jewish families in Brisbane . . .
Love, love, love the clown photo and quote. And the adorable magnets.

Sara - No I wasn't aware of the meaning of the word bris. Brisbane is commonly shortened to Bris, so I'm hopeful the Jewish community of Brisbane are aware of that and take no offense at our lazy way of referring to the city :)
